Wastewater treatment and discharge

In Poland, the sub-sector Wastewater treatment and discharge (part of Waste) was responsible for 2.93 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 0.7% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (5.93 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 50.5%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.37 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
