In Slovakia, the sector Buildings was responsible for 4.94 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 12.1% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (11.87 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 58.4%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 2.6 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
